Janiya Williams is a poet and youth activist . She began doing poetry in 8th grade during the Dr. King speech contest.
Her first protest was for Dontre Hamilton .
She enjoys doing what she does because a lot of people her age (16) aren’t doing positive things and she  can be a role model to them.
