LaTasha Lux, Photographer, LaLux Photography has been my passion for over twenty years. My style of photography is photojournalistic and documentarian. After the murder of George Floyd I felt compelled to do something. We were in the middle of a global pandemic that had shut the entire country down. One day I saw on the news a protest in Milwaukee. I didn’t think, I grabbed my camera and hopped into my car. That was the first protest I shot. In the year that followed I’ve shot protests, rallies, and vigils. I’ve captured the violence police have inflicted on peaceful protestors in Wauwatosa and Kenosha. I’ve seen the heartbreak of the families who have lost loved ones to police brutality. It's important to me to show the side of civil action that isn’t often shown by mainstream media. I will continue to do that to the best of my ability.
